Completed In-Process Goals
  • Built the first children’s hospital in Uganda
  • Acquired land for the hospital
  • Obtained medical equipment, supplies and medicine
  • Sent over a dozen medical and training missions to Mbarara to advise on logistics involved with the location, design and construction of the hospital and train medical staff (more)

  • Sent thousands of insecticide-treated mosquito nets to Mbarara
  • Provided standby power generation infrastructure
  • Made hospital operationally self-sufficient beginning in 2012
  • Treated over 25,000 critically ill in-patient children and over 100,000 outpatient children
  • Provided oxygen generation system so hospital produces all the oxygen it needs
  • Facilitated clean water and drainage with help from Rotary Club of Fallbrook and Rotary International
  • Delivered Rotary-funded laboratory equipment in 2015
  • Saving thousands of children’s lives each year
  • Bringing about education programs – sanitation, malaria prevention, nutrition, pre-natal health
  • Deliver 10,000 mosquito nets
  • Broke ground on the construction of a surgical center with two operating rooms. Construction underway and expected to be completed in 2016
  • Complete construction and open the surgical center in 2016
