Herb Baker of Rotary Club of Fallbrook hands HICH Co-Founder Lane Freestone a check for $37,500 to fund the purchase of vital signs monitors. This is the 6th major Rotary global grant made possible through the efforts of Rotary Club of Fallbrook – thank you Rotary!
This latest picture of the surgical center shows the work done to get the rafters ready for the steel roofing sheets. After roofing, comes the inside plastering, which is planned to be finished by the end of March.
The story of HICH was presented today at the 3rd Commonwealth Nurses and Midwives conference held at the Royal College of Physicians, London by our first administrator Patricia O’Callaghan. It is regrettable that our current administrator Robert Tumusiime wasn’t able to co-present as planned due to the difficulty in obtaining a visa. Delegates were very impressed at how a collaborative partnership across international boundaries made such a big difference in Mbarara.
Safe journey home to the Northern Ireland team. Thanks for the work.
Admin and clerical staff looking very smart in their uniforms.
A ‘free at the point’ of care clinic was sponsored and run today at HICH in an effort to assess and meet any unmet need. Almost 300 children were treated. A big thank you for everyone’s support.
